Welcome Dr. Harkins!

Elias Harkins, MD M.Ed. will be joining JDC Pediatrics on August 4th and his schedule is now open for appointments.

Elias Harkins, MD M.Ed. was born in Hershey, Pennsylvania. A member of a military family, he grew up in Washington and Texas as well, but once he returned to Hershey twenty years ago, he remained local. He completed a biopsychology degree at Messiah University and collaborated with Penn State College of Medicine and Penn State Harrisburg for a combined degree of MD and a Master's in Education. He then completed his pediatrics residency at the Penn State Children's Hospital.

Elias used his own education and lived experiences to develop several clinical interests, including forming educational alliances with families and forming a medical home for kids with disabilities. Elias is also a dedicated cat parent and takes his time enjoying creative hobbies like writing poetry.

Dr. Harkins is looking forward to meeting the members of our family here at JDC and joining you in the care of your littles!
