We have a limited supply of the vaccine right now, which we recommend for children ages 6 months & up. We have ordered the vaccine but deliveries have been sporadic. We are doing our best to get our orders as fast as possible for our patients.
If you are interested in the COVID-19 vaccine for your child, we encourage you to first check with your insurance provider to confirm coverage (due to recent CDC changes).
To schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment for your child:
- You may comment “COVID if available” when scheduling your child’s flu vaccine through the portal or our website
- If you want only a COVID-19 vaccine, please call our office to schedule an appointment, or be added to a waiting list if the vaccine is not available, and we will contact you when we get more vaccine in.
- Some local pharmacies are offering the vaccine to children 5 year of age and older
In light of recent changes at the CDC regarding childhood immunizations, please read our other news item, "Our Position on Childhood Immunizations".
The physicians at JDC Pediatrics have always followed, and will continue to follow the recommendations of the AAP, not the CDC.
JDC Pediatrics now has flu vaccine available for our patients. Appointments may be scheduled via website, online, or call the office.
Elias Harkins, MD M.Ed. has joined JDC Pediatrics and his schedule is now open for appointments with new patients less than 24 months of age!
We’re now offering Express Care appointments which you can schedule on-line through our website every day. These can now be scheduled at either of our offices!
