Well Child Visits
One of our important jobs is to help keep your children healthy. Prevention and early detection of illnesses and problems before they cause symptoms is the way to do that. This is why it’s important to have children seen for regular ‘well child’ visits. We recommend that you call 3 months in advance so you may choose the date, time and physician that best fit your needs.
During a well child visit, you can expect:
- Evaluation of growth and development
- Discussion of safety, nutrition, fitness, behavior, school, relationships with peers, day to day family life, etc.
- A physical examination
- A chance to ask questions
- Developmental screenings, if appropriate
- Age-appropriate medical screening tests (including hearing*, vision*, hemoglobin, etc.)
- Age appropriate immunizations
*Hearing and vision exams are recommended by the AAP at certain check-ups (denoted with an asterisk below) and we do perform them. There is a separate charge for each exam. Please contact your health insurance company for information on coverage for these services. The procedure codes are: hearing 92551; vision 99173.

Immunization Schedule
We ask that you schedule a separate appointment called a ‘sick visit’ for discussing and evaluating problems and/or concerns you may have regarding your child. Please note, that if the physician chooses to address medical problems/concerns during your well child check up visit, a separate ‘office visit’ charge will apply and your insurance company may assess you a second copay.
If you have school, sports, daycare or any other type of form that you need us to complete, please bring them with you to your well child visit. If we need to complete a form at any time other than at a scheduled well child visit, there is a $10 fee and a 48 hour turnaround time.
Depending on the requirements of the form, an appointment with a nurse may be all that’s necessary.
