Dr. Ratliff attended medical school at Hahnemann University (now Drexel School of Medicine) in Philadelphia. She completed her pediatric residency at Geisinger Medical Center where she served as Chief Resident in pediatrics. “I became a doctor because I have always had a strong need to take care of people, and have always been fascinated by science and the wonders of medicine.” Dr. Ratliff takes special interest in teaching families (and especially new parents) how to understand and appreciate their children, how to teach them to live a healthy life, and how to keep them safe. She says she can’t imagine doing anything else. Dr. Ratliff is married to her best friend, Dave. They have two sons, ages 26 and 28. They also have two “babies” in the house – their adorable Yorkies Molly and Mikey. She enjoys cooking, gardening, traveling and reading (love that Kindle!). "We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have." Frederick Koenig
