Dr. Jones is one of the founding members of JDC Pediatrics. He graduated with a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania and then spent two years in the Air Force. Deciding on a career in medicine, he went back to University of Pennsylvania to attend medical school. He was an intern and pediatric resident at Polyclinic Hospital in Harrisburg and a pediatric resident at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Dr. Jones worked his magic at JDC with children and young adults as a general pediatrician for 35 years, retiring in 1998. During his years at JDC, he also worked at the Cystic Fibrosis Center, many of them as the director. Always thinking ahead and not one to be idle, he had a hand in reactivating the local Harrisburg-Hershey Chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility and helped start the Children's Check-up Center in Harrisburg, which is still up and running today. He was also a member of the Peace Committee at his church. Dr. Jones was hugely responsible for shaping JDC into what it is today, and he is still missed by both staff and his former patients, who now have children of their own who are patients of JDC.
